Orpheus cannot accept that Eurydice is gone. Rather than face his grief, he sets out to defy the course of fate. When the Gods offer him a glimmer of hope, he ventures into the Underworld. But what begins as a journey to bring her back becomes a descent into the architecture of his own mind.

Composer Leo Grant conveys this musically through new instrumental and electronic re-arrangements and re-compositions of Gluck’s material. These are woven into the original, blurring the boundaries between old and new.
