Swiss mezzo-soprano Alexandra Meier is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama opera course where among other roles she played Sister Helen Prejean in Jake Heggie’s Dead Man Walking.

In the past season she played the leading role in La Cenerentola with Longhope Opera, Dinah in Bernstein’s Trouble in Tahiti at Grimeborn Festival at the Arcola Theatre (Offie Award winner for Best Opera Production), and Hänsel in Hänsel und Gretel with HGO.

As a 2022/23 Britten Pears Young Artist Alexandra participated in masterclasses with teachers including Antonio Pappano and performed in a recital series at Aldeburgh Festival.
