English Touring Opera presents an enchanting evening of musical storytelling in A story, a story! Let it come, let it go!, an intimate and evocative series of chamber operas that explore the tales that shape who we are. Staged across the rooms of Sutton House/Exeter Museum in a site-specific promenade staging and featuring sparkling new librettos by Glyn Maxwell, Amanda Wilkin, Hannah Khalil and Chinonyerem Odimba set to music by Lucie Treacher, Kemal Yusuf, Omar Shahryar and Charlotte Marlow, each performance of A story, a story! Let it come, let it go! is a unique, moving theatrical experience:
Glyn Maxwell and Lucie Treacher - Once in a Garden
Amanda Wilkin and Kemal Yusuf - The Knot
Hannah Khalil and Omar Shahryar - The Sparrow and the Eagle
Chinonyerem Odimba and Charlotte Marlow - A Herstory of Daughters Who Won't Lissen
A story, a story! Let it come, let it go! is part of ETO Unboxed, a programme of live and digital events exploring the multi-disciplinary and multi-genre nature of opera.
Due to the nature of this promenade performance there is no audience seating and the audience will move through the space with the performers. For specific access information for each venue or if you have any access requirements, please contact jo.corrigan@etopera.org.uk.
