Harry Grigg

New Zealand Tenor Harry Grigg holds a Masters in Performance (First Class) from the Royal College of Music as the Kiri te Kanawa Scholar. During his time at the College Harry performed the role of Monostatos in the RCM Opera Studio’s Production of Die Zauberflöte, took part in public masterclasses with Sir Thomas Allen and Nicky Spence and was successful in auditioning for the Josephine Baker Trust Scheme. He was also the winner of the 2021 Maureen Lehane Vocal Awards Competition and a semi-finalist in the 2022 Royal Overseas League Competition. He is a Samling Artist, an Opera Prelude Young Artist and was an Alvarez Young Artist with Garsington Opera for their 2023 and 2024 seasons.

Harry’s concert work includes concerts with The Royal Northern Sinfonia, Brandenburg Sinfonia, Nonsuch Singers and Waverly Singers, alongside recitals at the London Song and Barnes Music Festivals.

Recent roles include Man 1 (Alejandro, Mr Ford, Trotsky), Frida (Leeds Opera Festival), Tanzmeister, Ariadne auf Naxos (Garsington Opera cover) Amour, Castor et Pollux (The Rameau Project, The Opera Company), Monostatos, Die Zauberflöte (RCM Opera Studio), The Moon and King of The West, The Enchanted Pig (Yarra Valley Opera Festival, Australasian premiere), Scarramuccio, Ariadne auf Naxos (Lisa Gasteen National Opera School) and Frederick, The Pirates of Penzance (Opera Otago). Most recently he toured with English Touring Opera in The Snowmaiden and as Righty and Astronaut in their Learning & Participation production The Wellies.
