Composed by Aaron Copland, this song cycle is an imaginative insight into the work of Emily Dickinson, the revolutionary 19th century poet. Through his beautiful setting of her words, Copland invites us on a journey into the mind of the reclusive poet, capturing her searing humanity and clarity as she explores themes of love and loss, nature and friendship. A single voice and piano collaborate in this haunting yet uplifting work.

This new production created especially for film stars soprano April Koyejo-Audiger and pianist Sergey Rybin. The staging is directed by Matthew Eberhardt, designed by Cristiano Casimir and filmed by Tin Vlainic at Hoxton Hall.
