Big Give Christmas Challenge 2025
Support our new opera for Learning Disabled audiences!
Between 2-9 December 2025, English Touring Opera are participating in The Big Give Christmas Challenge, a match-funded campaign which will see every donation doubled in support of our Autumn 2026 opera for Learning Disabled audiences.
Co-created with and for Learning Disabled audiences, and informed by a greater understanding of our audiences' specific needs, interests and experiences, our Autumn 2026 children’s opera will allow young people to discover, participate in and enjoy opera. By donating to the Christmas Challenge campaign, you will help to remove the barriers that prevent children from accessing creative experiences and offer them exciting, sensory experiences of music and drama.
With a story penned by award-winning writer Malaika Kegode and the students of Briarwood School (Bristol) and music composed by Vahan Salorian, whose previous work for ETO includes leading ETO Perform workshops, ETO will perform to over 2000 children across the country next Autumn, in what may be their first experience of live music.
