William Byram
William Byram (they/he) is an American director and choreographer based in London. Recent engagements as Director include Hänsel und Gretel, Portrait of a Prima Donna, Die Fledermaus (Salon Opera) and Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's Dream Lovers (Stanley Arts). As Movement Director & Assistant Director credits include The Rape of Lucretia, The Elixir of Love (English Touring Opera), Lucia di Lammermoor (Opera Holland Park), Die Fledermaus (Grange Festival), Rigoletto, Madama Butterfly (Dorset Opera), Die Fledermaus (St Pauls Opera), Alcina, A Star Next to the Moon, (Guildhall Opera), La traviata (Instant Opera), The Merry Widow (Opéra de Baugé).
William trained at Conservatory of Dance at SUNY Purchase, Trinity Laban and Guildhall School of Music & Drama. He was the recipient of the US-UK Postgraduate Fulbright Award in 2021. William lectures at the Royal Academy of Music and Trinity Laban and will be published in the upcoming Oxford Handbook of Ballet Pedagogy.
