Born in Canberra, Warwick Fyfe won the Helpmann Award for Best Male in an Operatic Feature Role for his performance as Alberich in Opera Australia’s Bi-Centenary Cycles of Der Ring des Nibelungen. Other awards have included a Bayreuth Scholarship, a Churchill Fellowship, a Green Room Award and the Leopold Julian Krönenberg Award at the Stanislaw Moniuszko International Vocal Competition. Following studies at the Victoria College of the Arts, he joined Victorian State Opera’s Young Artist Program and then Opera Australia. His recordings include The Love for Three Oranges (Chandos CD) and Der Rosenkavalier (Opera Australia CD / DVD). This is his UK operatic debut.
