Vanessa Bowers
Vanessa Bowers graduated with Distinction from the MA in Opera Performance at the RWCMD having previously studied at the RAM and ENO’s Opera Works. Recent roles include Tiny in Britten’s Paul Bunyan for Welsh National Youth Opera, for which she received critical acclaim, Susanna, Galatea (Winterbourne Opera), Frasquita (St Magnus Festival) and Snegurochka by Rimsky-Korsakov (UCOpera). As a passionate performer of contemporary music she has given many world premieres and in 2014 she took part in the Lucerne Festival singing Berio’s Coro under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle. With ETO she performed Shepherd in Tosca and Amelia Earhart/Bindi in Silver Electra for the Spring 2017 season. She
is an appointed chorister at the Brompton Oratory. She is a keen baker and has aspirations to enter a certain TV baking competition.
