Timothy Burke
Born in Kingston, Timothy Burke read Music at Exeter College, Oxford, furthering his studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the National Opera Studio. He went on to join the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. Music Director at Tête à Tête, his conducting engagements have included Le nozze di Figaro for Scottish Opera and Welsh National Opera, La Fanciulla del West for Opera Holland Park, The Barber of Seville for Opera North and People Watch for Streetwise Opera, as well as Les enfants terribles and The Wind in the Willows for the Royal Opera House. Away from rehearsals, Tim has a soft spot for science fiction films, the music of David Bowie and his mischievous tortoise-shell cat Heidi.
