Suzanne Fischer
A Britten-Pears Young Artist, Suzanne Fischer won prizes at Oxford Lieder Festival, Das Lied:International Song Competition 2015 and the Viotti Concorso, Italy. Highlights of 2016 include returning to Glyndebourne, Berta in Il Barbiere di Siviglia for Kammeroper München and performing Serenade to Music with Vladimir Jurowski conducting the LPO. Suzanne created the role of Katja in “O.H.I.O” for the Deutsche Oper Berlin and jumped in to sing Konstanze/Die Entführung in their Werkstatt. Further roles include Ginevra/Ariodante, the Countess/Le Nozze di Figaro and Gilda/Rigoletto. Suzanne has a BMus (Hons) from the University of Edinburgh and Università degli Studi di Milano, and an MMus from the Hanns Eisler Conservatoire Berlin. Suzanne speaks fluent Italian and German, is an avid reader of science fiction and likes walking up large hills.
