Born into a musical family, Simon Wallfisch began playing the cello aged 5 and studied both cello and voice at the RCM (2000-2006), winning several prizes. He went on to study voice in Berlin and Leipzig and was engaged at the International Opera Studio of the Zürich Opera (2009-2011). He has sung several supporting roles in Zürich, Leipzig, Dessau, Magdeburg Opera Houses. Escamillo for Netherlands Reis Opera, Pellèas for Bury Court Opera. Oratorio soloist with English Chamber Orchestra, Zürich Chamber Orchestra, a record deal with Nimbus and Lyrita Records and a busy international recital agenda as: 'The Singing Cellist'.
