Ronald Samm is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, the Royal Northern College of Music, and the National Opera Studio.

In the current season he performs Shabby Peasant Lady Macbeth of Mtsenk (BBC Proms); and Father Grenville Dead Man Walking (English National Opera). Other appearances include Uncle Billy It’s a Wonderful Life, The Reverend Blue, and Reverend Adams Peter Grimes (English National Opera); Peter Porgy & Bess (ENO, Dutch National Opera, Theater an der Wien); Pangloss/Voltaire Candide, Canio Pagliacci (Scottish Opera); Ladislav The Two Widows (Birmingham Opera Company. Other notable roles include Otello, Siegmund, Tambormajor and Florestan.
