Monwabisi Lindi was born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa where he studied with Pierre du Toit at the Tshwane University of Technology. He is a recent graduate of the National Opera Studio in London and is in the UK on a Global Talent Visa. His recent performances include Charles Edward and covering the title role in Candide (Scottish Opera), Lord Chamberlain in The Spectre Knight (Wexford Festival Opera), and Rodolfo in La bohème (Hampstead Garden Opera). He has also performed with Opera Africa and Cape Town Opera where roles include Crab Man in Porgy and Bess, Fourth Jew in Salome.
