Matthew Siveter

British baritone Matthew Siveter’s many recent appearances include Escamillo ‘Carmen’ and Benoit/Alcindoro ‘La bohème’ (Longborough Festival Opera), Mr Kromov ‘The Merry Widow’ (Scottish Opera and Opera Holland Park), Frank ‘Die Fledermaus’, Marullo ‘Rigoletto’ and Mars/Styx/Bacchus ‘Orpheus in the Underworld’ (all for IF Opera). Alongside his operatic roles, Matthew has regularly appeared in award-winning G&S productions with companies including the National Gilbert and Sullivan Society and Charles Court Opera, with his roles including both Major-General Stanley and the Pirate King ‘The Pirates of Penzance’, Captain Corcoran ‘H.M.S Pinafore’, Grosvenor ‘Patience’, Mountararat ‘Iolanthe’ and both Pooh Bah and Katisha ‘The Mikado’.
