Luciano Botelho has performed at the ROH, Glyndebourne, Theater an der Wien, Opera de Genève, Oper Frankfurt, Sydney Opera House, and New National Theatre Tokyo. His repertoire is based on Italian bel canto, but he also sings Mozart including his recent appearances as Tamino (TM São Paulo Brazil) and Idamante (Gothenburg). Luciano completed a singing degree at UNI-Rio before undertaking Master and Opera Courses at GSMD. He represented Brazil at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition and was a finalist at Francisco Viñas competition. He was recently nominated in Opera Now magazine as one of their 10 favourite tenors from a generation of rising stars.
