Lauren Young is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Alexander Gibson Opera School, an inaugural Mascarade Opera Studio Artist, a former Britten Pears Young Artist, and recipient of an Independent Opera Fellowship.

In the current season she performs as the Mezzo soloist in The Big Opera Mystery and June Spoon (cover) Pass the Spoon (Opera North). Other appearances include Matilde Ottone, Baba the Turk The Rake’s Progress, Tisbe Cinderella (English Touring Opera), Daughter 6 Akhnaten (English National Opera), Rosina Il barbiere di Siviglia (Longborough Festival Opera), Mezzo The F*ggots and Their Friends Between Revolutions (Ruhrtriennale) and Maurya Riders to the Sea (OperaUpClose).
