Laura Caldow
Laura Caldow is a dancer, puppeteer, actor, choreographer and director. Dance and theatre credits as a performer include Peter and The Wolf (Hollywood Bowl), Angels In America (National Theatre), The Lorax (Old Vic), Elizabeth (The Royal Ballet), Lulu (The Tiger Lillies), Kes (Sheffield Crucible), The School for Scandal (Barbican), The Bacchae (Royal Exchange Theatre) and The Table (Blind Summit). Opera engagements include Death in Venice, Messiah, Eugene Onegin and Madam Butterfly (English National Opera), The Monstrous Child (The Royal Opera), The Fairy Queen (Glyndebourne Festival), Le Rossignol (Bregenz Festival) and Carmen (Salzburg Festival).
Movement and puppetry direction includes Eye To Eye (Glyndebourne), The Rattler (Mahogany Opera) and Peter Grimes (Opera Cologne). She is a recipient of the Deutsche Bank Pyramid Award for choreography and her work has been shown throughout the UK, USA and Germany in venues including The Royal Opera House, Roman River Festival, Peacock Theatre and Oldenburg Staatstheater. Laura trained at Central School of Ballet and the Merce Cunningham Studio in New York and is currently an Executive MBA candidate at Cass Business School, City University.
