In the 2022/23 season, Scottish mezzo-soprano Katie Coventry makes her debut with The Royal Danish Opera covering the role of Offred (Handmaid’s Tale), the RLPO singing the solo line in the Scott of the Antartic Film with orchestra under the baton of Andrew Manze as well as ETO singing the role of Orsini (Lucrezia Borgia) and covering Sesto (Giulio Cesare). Previous recent debuts include Reisoper as Sesto which transferred to Handelfestspiele Göttingen and the Hallé Orchestra as Kate Pinkerton (Madame Butterfly). Katie has a good relationship with Glyndebourne Festival and ENO as a previous Harewood artist.
