James Micklethwaite

James Micklethwaite grew up in Leeds and studied at the Royal College of Music. He was recently awarded the Helen Clarke Award for his contributions to Garsington Opera’s season, where he performed as Tchaplitsky in The Queen of Spades, and as Grimoaldo for the Opera First performance of Rodelinda. Other recent highlights include: Apollo Semele (Waterperry Opera Festival); Delmonte Un Giorno di regno and Flute (Cover) A Midsummer Night’s Dream (both Garsington Opera), and tenor soloist in the Albert Hall for the Really Big Chorus’ Messiah from Scratch. James also performs regularly with many of the country’s leading vocal ensembles.
