Hilary Cronin

Selected by BBC Music Magazine as a Rising Star of 2022 and Winner of both First Prize and the Audience Prize at the 2021 London Handel International Singing Competition, Hilary Cronin studied at Royal Holloway University of London and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

Highlights of 2021 / 2022 included Télaïre Castor et Pollux with The Opera Company, the Christmas Oratorio at London’s Wigmore Hall, the St John Passion with VOCES8, the St Matthew Passion with Bournemouth Symphony Chorus, Messiah with the English Chamber Orchestra, Silete venti with the London Handel Orchestra, Ode to Purcell on tour with Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, Telemann Cantatas on tour with Solomon’s Knot and Vaughan Williams Benedicite with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

Engagements during 2022 / 2023 include Second Woman Dido and Aeneas with La Nuova Musica, J. S. Bach Christmas Oratorio on tour with English Baroque Soloists, Blow and Purcell with The English Concert, Handel Chandos Anthems with Arcangelo, Messiah with London Mozart Players and The Sixteen, Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Last Night of the Autumn Proms for Raymond Gubbay Ltd. She will also make her debut at Teatro La Fenice, Venice, singing Fauré’s Requiem and give a recital at the 2023 Handel Festival in Halle.

This is her principal debut with English Touring Opera.
