Harry Pizzey

Designer

Harry Pizzey graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 2019 with a Master’s degree in Design for Performance. In the same year, he was also a finalist for the Linbury Prize for Stage Design, working with Birmingham Royal Ballet as part of the competition. Whilst studying, he collaborated with director Polly Graham to design Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Gondoliers at the Sherman Theatre, Cardiff. Harry is a creative associate of the Watermill Theatre and credits there include the recent stage adaptation of Brief Encounter. Recent work also includes a touring playground production of Hansel and Gretel for Longborough Festival Opera, La Nonne Sanglante for Gothic Opera and a touring ballet production of The Secret Garden for New Creations Collective. He has collaborated with English Touring Opera on several other projects including co-designing Shostakovich: Michelangelo Suite as part of the 2021 digital season and has also designed the children’s companion piece to the production of Amadigi, produced by ETO.
