George Humphreys

Baritone George Humphreys was born in Oxford, and studied at Cambridge and the RAM, before joining the International Opera Studio at Zurich Opera. Future plans include Leporello in Don Giovanni with Nederlandse Reisopera and his debut at the Aldeburgh Festival. Roles at ENO have included Pish-Tush The Mikado. Moralès Carmen, and Schaunard La Bohème. Notable engagements elsewhere include Lieutenant Jenkins in In Parenthesis (WNO); Aeneas Dido and Aeneas (Opéra Dijon); Duke The Killing Flower (Music Theatre Wales); Purcell's King Arthur (Early Opera Company); Belcore L'elisir d'amore (Landestheater Bregenz). As soloist he has appeared in concerts with the CBSO, Gabrieli Consort, OAE, RLPO, Royal Northern Sinfonia, RSNO, Aurora Orchestra, London Handel Festival, Australian Chamber Orchestra.
