Ann Taylor

Ann Taylor has sung with major companies in the UK and across Europe during her thirty year career, performing many of the major operatic roles for mezzo-soprano including Ariodante, Rosina, Hänsel, Cherubino, Dorabella and the Britten roles of Kate Owen Wingrave, Hermia A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Nancy Albert Herring.

She also created the roles of Stewardess in Flight for Glyndebourne and Sarah in Tobias and the Angel (both by Jonathan Dove), and Judy/Grey Wolf in Michael Berkeley’s Baa Baa Black Sheep for Opera North. Most recently, she has sung Mother/Chinese Cup/Squirrel L'enfant et les sortilèges, Miss Stuhlá Osud and Suzuki Madam Butterfly (all for Opera North).
