Amar Muchhala

Amar Muchhala made his Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, debut in 2013 and starred as the lead Alex in the world premier of Glare, by Søren Nils Eichberg at ROH, 2014. He covered the role of Pasterz in the 2015 ROH production of Krol Roger, Szymanowski, directed by Kasper Holten under the baton of Maestro Antonio Pappano. He made a series of house debuts in Germany in 2017: Staatsoper Hannover, followed by Theatre Magdeburg, where he essayed the tenor lead Camille Desmoulins, in Gottfried von Einem’s opera Dantons Tod. Future engagements include concerts with the Symphony Orchestra of India, under the baton of Martyn Brabbins in 2019. Having naturally transitioned into a lyrico-spinto tenor, he remains focused on French and Italian repertory.
