We are proud to have received the Achievement in Opera Award at the UK Theatre Awards 2026 sponsored by Encore!
The award is in recognition of our ambition and breadth of programming in venues across the country. As the nation's leading touring opera company, we bring world-class theatre and impactful participatory projects to more towns and cities than any other UK opera company, and we are proud to continue working towards our mission of making exceptional artistic experiences available to all.
We are immensely proud to receive the Achievement in Opera award. We believe that audiences deserve exceptional, accessible music theatre wherever they live, and delivering this depends on the hard work and dedication of many people, from carpenters, electricians, directors, designers, orchestral musicians and singers to everyone in our office team, our supporters and partner venues. This award is a fitting tribute to their efforts and we look forward to creating fantastic opera together again.

Our Autumn 2026 tour recently opened in Sheffield's Lyceum Theatre with a new production of Gluck's Orpheus & Eurydice in a brand-new orchestration with additional music from composer Leo Grant, and a double bill of Elena Langer's Ariadne with Purcell's Dido & Aeneas.
The productions will tour to seven venues across England this Autumn, with Orpheus & Eurydice reaching a further nine venues as it extends into the Spring 2027 tour alongside a new production of Puccini's Tosca.
