Job Title: Company Stage Manager

Line Manager: Head of Production

Responsible for: Stage Management & the Company on tour

Fee: £850-£875 per week

Contract dates: 10th August-24th November 2026

The Role:

You will be responsible for the effective management of both the Company and Stage Management team throughout rehearsals and touring periods. Working closely with the Head of Production, you will help ensure that English Touring Opera’s productions are thoroughly prepared, efficiently delivered, and run smoothly on tour.

Since 1979, English Touring Opera has toured outstanding live productions and impactful education and community projects to more towns and cities than any other UK opera company. At the heart of our ethos is making exceptional artistic experiences available and accessible to everyone. We reach 40,000 people per year with full theatre-based productions, specially commissioned operas for infants, children, families and young people with special educational needs, a series of creative workshops for people living with dementia and their carers, opera- making workshops in secondary schools, and songwriting workshops in Alternative Provision settings designed to benefit young people’s mental health.
