Valerie Reid
Valerie Reid was born in the Kingdom of Fife, Scotland. Valerie studied at the RSAMD in Glasgow with Patricia McMahon and The National Opera Studio in London with generous financial help from The Countess of Munster Trust and The Friends of Covent Garden. Roles at ENO have included 2nd Lady (Magic Flute),Grandmother Burja (Jenufa),Anina (La Traviata),
Glasha (Katya Kabanova),Anne’s Mother (Two Boys), Marcellina (Marriage of Figaro) and
Mercedes (Carmen). An avid Chef Valerie has also sung for Scottish Opera and Glyndebourne as well as many concerts abroad in places like Hong Kong, St Petersburg,Beijing,Geneva,Turin,Athens and Tokyo.
