Richard Pinkstone
Born in Northumberland, Richard Pinkstone made his professional operatic debut singing the title role in Albert Herring for the Grange Festival’s South Bank Sky Arts Award nominated production conducted by Steuart Bedford OBE and directed by John Copley CBE, before joining the Royal College of Music International Opera School. Since graduating, he has worked for companies including English National Opera, Garsington Opera at Wormsley, Nevill Holt Opera, Opera North and Scottish Opera.
His recent engagements have included Scaramuccio Ariadne auf Naxos for Garsington Opera at Wormsley, Sailor Dido and Aeneas at the Ustinov Studio of Bath Theatre Royal, Fantastical Journeys (Snake Attack!) for The Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and Paul Rissmann’s Wonderland Suite / Through the Looking Glass in concert with the London Symphony Orchestra, now available as Wonderland: The Alice Sound on LSO Digital Download.
In his spare time, Richard enjoys running, yoga and reading. For
English Touring Opera, he has previously sung Pedrillo The Seraglio.
