Gareth Brynmor John

2013 Kathleen Ferrier Award winner, baritone Gareth Brynmor John held a choral scholarship at St John’s College, Cambridge, before taking a place at the RAM where he
won the Patrons’ Award and the Worshipful Company of Musicians’ Silver Medal. Gareth was awarded an Independent

Opera Postgraduate Voice Fellowship in 2013. Operatic roles include Eugene Onegin, Claudio Béatrice et Bénédict, Ferryman Curlew River
for RAO, Count Le nozze di Figaro for Amersham Festival and he created Carl in Gervasoni’s Limbus Limbo at the Strasbourg Festival Musica. He has given recitals at Wigmore Hall, London English Song Festival and the Barber Institute of Fine Arts, and recorded Mahler’s Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen for Linn Records.
