Ed Ballard
Ed studied at Cambridge University and the RAM, where he was an International Opera Awards Foundation bursary recipient and won the Marjorie Thomas Art Song Prize, the Elena Gerhardt Lieder Prize, and the Grabowski Connell Award. Since graduating he has: created the title role in Luke Styles’s Macbeth for the Glyndebourne Jerwood Project jointly with the Linbury Theatre, ROH; played the title role in the baritone version of Werther (ETO), covered Nick Shadow in The Rake’s Progress (Festival d’Aix-en- Provence), and made his German debut singing Pandolfe in Massenet’s Cendrillon (Theatre Freiburg).
