Charne Rochford

Charne Rochford was born in London and trained at the Royal Academy of Music, generously supported by the MBF and the Foyle Foundation. For ETO he has sung the roles Adorno Simon Boccanegra, Achilles King Priam and is delighted to be returning for
the revival of Il tabarro singing the role of Luigi. Other operatic highlights include Eisenstein Die Fledermaus (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra), Lyonel Martha (Volksoper Zürich), Canio Pagliacci (Opera de Baugé) Cavaradossi Tosca (Bermuda Festival) 1st Armed Man/2nd Priest Die Zauberflöte (Glyndebourne and Opera North) Bacchus/Tenor Ariadne auf Naxos (The Mastersingers) and 2nd Officer in the film version of The Magic Flute directed by Kenneth Branagh. Future season highlights include Duke Rigoletto (Opera de Baugé) Gastone La traviata (Opera Holland Park) David in Randle’s Love You to Death (Tête à Tête Festival) and a Mahler 8 at the Bridgewater Hall.
