For the first time this autumn, we are excited to share ETO Unboxed, a new programme of live and digital events exploring the multi-disciplinary and multi-genre nature of opera. At locations across our autumn 2023 national tour, we will share new work that takes inspiration from the themes explored in our productions in order to enrich the cultural experiences of the communities we visit and invite new audiences to experience opera in fresh ways.

This season, ETO Unboxed kicks off with our commission of a new work for electronics and soprano from experimental duo drøne and soprano Julia Mariko, which will be performed at Iklekitk in London on 19 September.

Further ETO Unboxed events include four spoken-word nights and lunchtime recitals.
