ETO Perform
ETO Perform is a one-day secondary school workshop, in which a professional Director, Composer, Singer and Stage Manager create a new opera with a group of thirty students. The students are then invited to a backstage tour at their local theatre, after which they will watch an ETO performance, which for many students, will be their first opera.
ETO Perform aims to demystify careers in opera and theatre, both onstage and backstage, and increase young people’s confidence. 81% of participants in our 2025 workshops reported that their confidence grew as a result of the workshops, and a further 81% said they would choose to see an opera again.
