This week we're delighted to be taking part in the Champions for Children campaign with The Childhood Trust and the Big Give to support our award-winning Learning and Participation programme. From 8 to 15 June, every donation you make to the campaign will be doubled by The Childhood Trust. With the funds raised, ETO will create four new bespoke operas for children and young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities, bringing participatory music, up-close interactive story-telling, multi-sensory elements and cross-curricular learning resources into schools across London and the UK. ETO will also create two new series of digital workshops for children with SEND, exploring Makaton signing, breathing, movement and singing, in a fun creative session that breaks down accessibility barriers, reaching thousands of children directly at home. Your support will improve the mental health, wellbeing and learning of thousands of children across London, challenging the severe impact of COVID-19 and enriching and empowering their lives.
The Covid-19 pandemic has had a huge impact on children’s mental health, wellbeing, learning and happiness. Music's transformative benefits for children's confidence, wellbeing and education are important in tackling this. However, thousands are denied creative experiences at primary school due to music provisions being reduced. With your donations, we can bring joy, music, teamwork and creativity to children, both in-person and at home, and help improve their confidence and wellbeing.
