This week we kicked off our tour of our new children's opera, Back into the World, with six performances for more than 500 primary-age children at schools in London and Bournemouth.
Composed by Alex Groves and written and directed by Rebecca Hanbury, Back into the World has been created to respond to many of the challenges children have faced during the past year: missing friends, increased anxiety, disruptions to learning, challenges understanding emotions and isolation. By taking them on an interactive, participatory adventure and making music together, the cast and creative team help the children to explore friendship, sharing, teamwork and diversity, and rediscover the natural world.
As well as performances in more than 30 schools across the country, there are four public performances of Back Into the World at the artsdepot and at the Omnibus Theatre in Clapham - for more information and to buy tickets, see below.
