The safety and security of our artists, audiences, technical, production and administrative staff is what matters most to English Touring Opera. Following the Government’s recommendations regarding non-essential travel, socialising and theatre closures during the Coronavirus pandemic many of our upcoming performances on the Spring 2020 tour have been cancelled and we are currently assessing the viability of the tour in its entirety. Please check back here, or on our social media channels tomorrow (Thursday 19 March) for a further statement.

We’d like to assure you that we’re busy planning creative ways of continuing to bring opera that moves to our communities during a period of closure and that we are committed to supporting our artists during this hugely challenging period.

Meet our hero, Mackenzie, and get ready to travel through time and space. On a school trip to a museum, Mackenzie discovers that their pencil case is full of magical worlds. Who knows who you will meet and where you will visit along the way, so take a deep breath and expect the unexpected.

The Extraordinary Adventures of You and Me, follows English Touring Opera’s success in creating fun, engaging and interactive operas for children and young audiences as well as SEND audiences. Recent productions include Laika the Spacedog, Waxwings, Paradise Planet, Shackelton’s Cat and This is My Bed.

Recommended age: 2 – 5

Schools info: This performance is suitable for Key Stage 1 and SEND audiences. The story features 5 performers, including singers and players, an ingenious set, interactive songs and sound technology.

If you would like to book a performance for your school, local library or another venue, please contact Jo Corrigan (Learning & Participation Producer) at jo.corrigan@englishtouringopera.org.uk
or call 020 7833 2555.
