James Bowman to talk about playing Oberon

Counter-tenor James Bowman will give a pre-performance talk about his experiences playing the role of Oberon, before A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Sadler’s Wells.
Since 1967, when he first played the part of Oberon with Benjamin Britten’s English Opera Group, James Bowman has performed the role across the globe, brushing shoulders with the brightest and best. It became a role that he has had a long and distinguished association with. In this one-off talk, he will answer questions from the director of ETO’s production, James Conway, drawing on a wealth of experiences, stories and anecdotes. He will also answer some questions from the floor.
