Don Pasquale: costume drawings

18th February 2010

Before new costumes are made, they must be visualised on paper. Designer Agnes Treplin has kindly lent us some of her costume drawings for Don Pasquale, to give us a flavour of the production.

The first is of Don Pasquale himself, posing proudly in his conductor’s outfit. Then there is Norina, the young soprano, reclining backstage in her dressing room.

As for the third picture, our production is set partly in an opera house, so some of our chorus members are dressed as Norina’s ‘fellow performers’ in a certain opera. The opera shall remain unnamed for now, but this costume drawing might narrow it down…

More of Agnes’ drawings will be published in our programme.
