Turtle Song - the big day approaches

Turtle Song in 2008

This week was the last creative session for Turtle Song, our project for dementia and Alzheimer’s sufferers and their carers with Turtle Key Arts. We used the session at Clare College in Cambridge to piece together all the songs we’ve written together.

Our song cycle now tells the story of our group going on a holiday to the sea and the adventures that happen along the way, including meeting pirates and sailors, and dancing on a cruise ship.

We practiced all of our songs and enjoyed waltzing together as we would on our cruise ship!

Next week we move into West Road Concert Hall in Cambridge, where ETO performed its Autumn season operas in October, for a dress rehearsal. Then the final performance of ‘Songs from the Sea’ takes place on Friday (2nd December) at 11am.

If you would like a free ticket to see our work, please call Alexa Carey in the ETO office on 0207 833 2555 or email alexa.carey@englishtouringopera.org.uk.
