James Conway – General Director

James is both artistic director and chief executive of ETO. As well as supervising the running of the company and choosing the artists and repertoire, he also directs some of the ETO shows.
Michael Rosewell – Music Director
Michael is responsible for upholding and increasing the musical standard of the company. He regularly conducts performances and works with James to choose the artists.
Tim Yealland – Artistic Associate, Education

Tim plans and devises ETO’s education projects for people of all ages and abilities – from on stage workshops to residencies in schools and special performances for children. He also participates in many of these programs
Alex Darbyshire – Administrative Director

Alex arranges the ETO tour schedule, taking bookings from theatres and tries to ensure we visit all areas of the country. She is also in responsible for the company’s finances.
Steve Hawkins – Production Manager

Steve is responsible for all managing and supervising all the technical aspects of an ETO tour including liason with designers, carpenters, stage managment team and insuiring the shows are transported to each theatre, set up and broken down to go to the next venue.
Shawn McCrory – Artistic and Planning Administrator

Shawn looks after everything to do with ETO’s artists, from first auditions to ongoing support. He also masterminds schedules, and plays a big part in long term planning – thinking of it from the artist’s perspective.
Johnny Langridge – Head of Partnerships & Development

Johnny heads the Partnerships & Development team and is responsible for partnerships, individual giving, trusts & foundations, and corporate sponsorship, as well as the creation of production syndicates – generous individuals and businesses at every point on tour who will make sure that we keep performing in their theatre.
Aislinn Ryan – Partnerships & Development Officer

Aislinn is part of English Touring Opera’s Partnerships & Development team and works to secure regional parters, run the membership scheme, and gain valuable support from trusts and foundations to further the company’s work throughout the UK.
Caroline Tress – Senior Finance and Administration Officer

Caroline is responsible for the day-to-day book-keeping for the company and helping to prepare the payroll. She also assists Alex with the tour schedule and theatre booking.
John Holmes – Marketing Manager

John is responsible for the marketing and communication functions of ETO, with the view to maximising box office sales. He manages a team of marketing professionals communicating to ensure we maximise audience attendances, build new audiences and secure effective press coverage. John also oversees market research to optimise how ETO serves all audiences.
John Walker – Press and Marketing Officer

John is responsible for working with the national and local press to ensure ETO’s work gets the best possible coverage. He writes the majority material for the programmes, venue brochures and communications with members of our mailing list. He also works with John Holmes on venue marketing and specific marketing initiatives to bring new people to ETO performances.
Andrea Perseu – Senior Marketing and New Media Officer

Andrea looks after the new website, ensuring it is up to date with videos and news from the productions as well as keeping ETO up to date on social networking and other web-based marketing. He is also responsible for any in-house design we do and works with John on venue marketing and specific marketing initiatives to bring new people to ETO performances.
Alexa Carey – PA to the Executives

Alexa supports James and Tim and ensures the office runs smoothly. This includes coordinating diaries, booking schools and educational tours, looking after the music library and dealing with general public enquiries.
